It did not take long to see the important role that family and friends play in Janette and Steve’s lives. They are the type of people you just want to be around. A happy, positive energy that is engaging.

They are also very comfortable just being together. You can see it in their eyes, just the way that they look at each other. Their calm loving persona was the foundation of this amazing day.

Janette and Steve had decided to see each other prior to the wedding so a “reveal” was planned an hour or so before the ceremony in the lobby area of the beautiful Willow Heights Mansion. There was so much emotion when they first caught a glimpse of each other that anyone watching was drawn into their world. When love is present at this level it captivates everyone!

We found ourselves at the piano to get some portrait work done and asked if either knew how to play; Janette said yes and began to knock one out from memory surprising Steve who was unaware of her hidden talent. It provided yet another opportunity to see their relationship growing right in front of the lens.

The event was filled with other little surprises. Janette’s Maid of Honor Lissa (an accomplished radio personality) delivered a speech for the toast that would be tough for anyone to follow. Without hesitation, Steve’s son Robert (his Best Man) provided an insightful perspective that was both funny and moving, the best these photographers has ever seen (and we have seen many of them!).

The party continued well into the night with no one wanting it to end, which a testament of a great celebration.
